Born within the sound of Bow Bells in London, a Cockney by tradition, Pauline’s background was also richly enhanced by Northern blood and Irish musical ancestry. She started performing accapello in folk clubs around the London area while only sixteen years old. Pauline studied at the Arts Educational School of Dance and Music, while making her first stage appearances in various Pantomimes and Summer Seasons, playing alongside such stars as Dickie Valantine and Bill Maynard. In the early 1970’s, Pauline performed live on Beiruit Radio, and developed her guitar skills whilst travelling around the Middle East. A successful residency followed at the Chimney Corner Club in Gibraltar. Returning to the United Kingdom, Pauline then became resident singer/guitarist at the famous Serpentine Restaurant in Hyde Park, London.
